International Picnic

The school I work for, where Canon and Ben both attend, is year round. However, every June there is an International Picnic that feels like the end-of-the-year party. Each classroom has spent the entire year learning different facts about a country and the Picnic begins with a program put on by the students. Each class dances or sings to a song from their country and the teachers do an amazing job creating costumes to go along with it. We have a huge potluck afterwards, then the street is closed down for pony rides, games, food and tables that showcase more about each country. Each student also receives a "diploma" this night for completing their year in that classroom!

This year, Canon's class presented the Philippines and Ben's class presented Vietnam. I have pictures and video from both the Dress Rehearsal on Thursday (benefits of working where they go to school!) and the actual program on Friday. Note: Ben was in California for the program on Friday.

Enjoy!
