What's Up Wednesday

Jumping into this link-up to get those blogging juices flowing again! Enjoy!

what we're eating this week
We really enjoying planning out exactly what dinners we are having each evening. Outside of Red Beans & Rice Mondays and Taco Tuesdays, a few highlights have been Sausage Tortellini Skillet, Sweet Potato, Black Bean & Chicken Skillet  and Crock Pot Orange Chicken

what i'm reminiscing about
Canon's Baptism 3 years ago today!

what i'm loving
my Mineral Peptides Powder! Now that I am foundation free, just a sprinkle of this on in the mornings and I'm good to walk out the door! It keeps me from getting too shiny in the afternoons, has SPF 20 and reduces my redness. Love!

what we've been up to
Football started, so we're home a lot on Saturdays for that. Oktoberfest happened at our church this past weekend and Aaron has a big flag football game this Saturday! Canon and I went and got coffee (chocolate milk) and donuts last night for National Coffee Day!

what i'm working on
Working on some big goals with Rodan+Fields.

what i'm excited about
Clemson's big game against Notre Dame this weekend!

what i'm watching/reading
I just finished Make It Happen by Lara Casey, just started For The Love by Jen Hatmaker and am nearing the end of Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey (for the 2nd time).

what i'm listening to
I've gotten really into Podcasts lately, I love to listen while I am running and at work. My 2 favorites right now are  The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey and Big Boo Cast with Melanie Shankle and Sophie Hudson.

what i'm looking forward to next month
October...hopefully cooler weather! Also a trip planned to see my Grandmama (its a surprise so don't tell her!). I'm going on two field trips with Canon in October too!

what else is new
Well....I hadn't announced this on social media (surprise!) but we got a mini-van! We got it at the end of August and I have to say, I LOVE it just as much as I thought I would!

Well, that is what's up with us!

going public

Well...there is not really any other way to say this but... Aaron and I are having a BABY! Yep, Baby Schultz should be arriving this Labor Day. We could not be more thrilled about the news! Once we got through the 12-week ultrasound, which is what this picture is from, we were ready to spread the news! I know there are still lots of people who should have gotten phone calls, and for that I apologize that you are finding out now, but I was just ready to get it out there! And now I will answer the questions that typically follow up this kind of announcement. 1. Were you trying? Well....not exactly. From the beginning I have felt pretty strongly that we were not in control of this whole baby-making situation. I have known many women who got pregnant on birth control, or when they didn't even know they could, and those who "planned" it and then it has taken longer than hoped. I've just always been pretty sure that when the Lord determined we were ready, He'd ...

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth...

what's going on

We're starting to try some rice cereal. I've been pretty sporadic about it, but after his 6 month appointment (which is NEXT WEEK!) I'll start putting "solids" into our every day routine.      Canon has found his feet! Now every diaper change is just the most fun, trying to get those toes into his mouth!   Canon is officially rolling over, both sides! This particular picture happened when I had gone into my bedroom for a hot second and came out to find him on his tummy! He can do it regularly now, though he doesn't love being on his tummy and rolls back over quickly.  Other things going on: Canon is officially sleeping unswaddled!! I guess around 2 weeks ago, we started again with the one arm out and went from there. He now sleeps in a fleece sleep sack with arms. I'm not going to lie, the process wasn't quite as daunting as I had originally thought, but I think that is because we waited until he was really ready.  ...
