5 on Friday

I'm finally linking up with some of my favorite bloggers for their 5 on Friday series. Make sure to check out A. Liz Adventures, Carolina Charm, Hello!Happiness and The Good Life Blog, they are fantastic women and I super enjoy reading about their lives.

ONE - Wednesday was The Can-Man's first birthday! I'm not even ready to talk about how this happened...where did my baby go?!? We had a great day, playing in his new water table, setting up his new car seat, eating out and he got a cupcake from Buzz to celebrate!

TWO - I know I am late to this game, but seriously. I watched the entire first and second season on Netflix last week. It is so good. Not sure I needed to rush through it considering I have to wait a whole month until Season 3, but I couldn't help myself! Aaron, however, is very glad I'm not glued to my phone anymore!

THREE - Clemson Football is BACK! To say we were excited for Saturday's Game, and WIN, against Georgia is an understatement! I can't wait to see where this team takes us this season!

FOUR -  Have y'all heard of/done anything with MeetUp.com? I stumbled upon it somehow and am so glad! People create groups based on interests, activities, etc and set meet-up dates and events. I've joined an awesome group of local moms with babies born in 2012 and 2013 and have successfully been to two events. It has been a great way to get to know new moms in the area and we are loving getting out of the house and getting some social interaction!! You should definitely try it in your area, they have everything from mom groups to bar crawls!

FIVE - Camp Carysbrook Alumnae Weekend (sorry for the terrible picture!) is coming up in 2 weeks. I know, I know, I'm not actually registered yet, but I am going and can't wait! This is where I spent my summers from 7th Grade til about...2 years ago, ha! I love it and I know this weekend is going to be full of fun!

Join in the fun over at one of those great ladies' blogs!

going public

Well...there is not really any other way to say this but... Aaron and I are having a BABY! Yep, Baby Schultz should be arriving this Labor Day. We could not be more thrilled about the news! Once we got through the 12-week ultrasound, which is what this picture is from, we were ready to spread the news! I know there are still lots of people who should have gotten phone calls, and for that I apologize that you are finding out now, but I was just ready to get it out there! And now I will answer the questions that typically follow up this kind of announcement. 1. Were you trying? Well....not exactly. From the beginning I have felt pretty strongly that we were not in control of this whole baby-making situation. I have known many women who got pregnant on birth control, or when they didn't even know they could, and those who "planned" it and then it has taken longer than hoped. I've just always been pretty sure that when the Lord determined we were ready, He'd ...

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth...

what's going on

We're starting to try some rice cereal. I've been pretty sporadic about it, but after his 6 month appointment (which is NEXT WEEK!) I'll start putting "solids" into our every day routine.      Canon has found his feet! Now every diaper change is just the most fun, trying to get those toes into his mouth!   Canon is officially rolling over, both sides! This particular picture happened when I had gone into my bedroom for a hot second and came out to find him on his tummy! He can do it regularly now, though he doesn't love being on his tummy and rolls back over quickly.  Other things going on: Canon is officially sleeping unswaddled!! I guess around 2 weeks ago, we started again with the one arm out and went from there. He now sleeps in a fleece sleep sack with arms. I'm not going to lie, the process wasn't quite as daunting as I had originally thought, but I think that is because we waited until he was really ready.  ...
