20 weeks!

This past Saturday marked 20 weeks of pregnancy DONE! Can't you hear it...."Ohhhhhh we're half way there whoa-oh, livin' on a prayer!" I'm feeling pretty good and even though I've gotten most of my energy back, there are still nights when I'm almost falling asleep in my dinner! I have 4 weeks of school left (YAY!) and then I can focus on growing this baby! We go for our anatomy ultrasound tomorrow when they should be able to tell if it is a girl or boy! We're having the doctor write it down and waiting until Friday night when my great friend Susan is hosting a "Gender Reveal" Party for us! I'm giving her the paper and she's getting a cake made that will reveal blue or pink when we cut into it. I can't wait! It is going to be a loooon few days between Tuesday morning and Friday night! Pictures of that will definitely be up Saturday!

In other news, our favorite San Francisco Giants came to Colorado to play the Rockies last week. We got tickets months ago and have been counting down to the beginning of baseball season!

Y'all know about my obsession with Brian Wilson from this post. We got there early enough to see both teams warm up, but a huge thunderstorm came through right as the Giants were getting started. Brian and one other pitcher stayed out on the field, so I got lots of great photos!

We also got our (almost) 20 week belly shot!

And some of y'all will be excited to know that Tyler Colvin, a Clemson baseball alum, is playing for the Colorado Rockies. So even though I was cheering for the Giants, I was glad when #21 got some hits. He is actually doing really, really well, so go check him out!

We also went out dinner last night to celebrate 20 weeks. We stumbled upon "Max's Gill and Grill" and I was a super happy girl. When I saw "North Carolina Style Pulled Pork" I was convinced. Start to finish, I indulged myself in good southern food. Steamed shrimp as an appetizer, pulled pork with cornbread and I ended the night with pecan pie! It was definitely the best meal I've had in Denver! If you are in Denver and reading this, I would definitely recommend it. (Aaron got the trout and the prime rib and loved both)

Stay tuned for pictures from our "Gender Reveal" party!! What do you think it'll be, boy or girl?

going public

Well...there is not really any other way to say this but... Aaron and I are having a BABY! Yep, Baby Schultz should be arriving this Labor Day. We could not be more thrilled about the news! Once we got through the 12-week ultrasound, which is what this picture is from, we were ready to spread the news! I know there are still lots of people who should have gotten phone calls, and for that I apologize that you are finding out now, but I was just ready to get it out there! And now I will answer the questions that typically follow up this kind of announcement. 1. Were you trying? Well....not exactly. From the beginning I have felt pretty strongly that we were not in control of this whole baby-making situation. I have known many women who got pregnant on birth control, or when they didn't even know they could, and those who "planned" it and then it has taken longer than hoped. I've just always been pretty sure that when the Lord determined we were ready, He'd ...

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth...

what's going on

We're starting to try some rice cereal. I've been pretty sporadic about it, but after his 6 month appointment (which is NEXT WEEK!) I'll start putting "solids" into our every day routine.      Canon has found his feet! Now every diaper change is just the most fun, trying to get those toes into his mouth!   Canon is officially rolling over, both sides! This particular picture happened when I had gone into my bedroom for a hot second and came out to find him on his tummy! He can do it regularly now, though he doesn't love being on his tummy and rolls back over quickly.  Other things going on: Canon is officially sleeping unswaddled!! I guess around 2 weeks ago, we started again with the one arm out and went from there. He now sleeps in a fleece sleep sack with arms. I'm not going to lie, the process wasn't quite as daunting as I had originally thought, but I think that is because we waited until he was really ready.  ...
