Easter

We had a great Easter in Alexandria with my mom and my sister and her family! There was an Easter Egg Hunt and Pancake Breakfast at church, then a wonderful brunch at one of our favorite restaurants afterwards! It had been quite a few years since I'd been home for Easter and I'm so happy we were able to be there!

#SB2013

I am so glad my husband works for a school and we get Spring Break! It really helps in terms of visiting family as well, so instead of trying to fly somewhere for a quick Thanksgiving weekend, we split Christmas and Spring Break and get a whole week with our families. Last year we went to California to celebrate Aaron's dad's 60th Birthday and this year we went to the East Coast to see lots of my family and friends. We flew into Atlanta on Monday and made our way up to Alexandria, VA (my mom's house) by Friday with lots of stops on the way. Here is the run-down in pictures! Monday We flew out of Denver in the afternoon and got to Atlanta around 7pm. We rented a car and made our way to spend the night with my sweet friend Heather and her husband Matt. We had such a great time with them! I haven't laughed that much in forever and it was SO refreshing to see them!  Canon entertaining himself on the plane with a plastic cup. sweet friends!  Tuesda...

blog reading

It is no secret that I follow a lot of blogs. A lot. While I do love home improvement, DIY and design blogs, I really enjoy those blogs that chronicle the daily lives of women with kids. Not really a surprise there, since that is my life. Up until tonight, I've used Google Reader to read all my blogs. It was great because I could just open up Reader and read them all on one page. However, Google Reader is not going to be available starting soon. Most of the blogs I read have suggested using Bloglovin' to keep up with them. So, tonight, I'm making the switch. Some of my favorites are listed on the right. And if you are so inclined, you can follow mine as well. Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I'm just going to list them out: he has two bottom teeth! they have cut through the gums, but they aren't all the way up yet he is rolling over back to tummy, tummy to back constantly ! he is sleeping unswaddled he, most nights, goes without a bottle! he just started, as in did it twice yesterday, lifting his hands when he wants to be picked up he leans into me to give me hugs, reaches for me and buries his head in my neck/shoulder. it is a dream! he eats solid foods in the morning and evening now he rolled over onto his tummy last night and woke himself up and he was not happy about it he puts himself to sleep really well...after a book I just lay him in his crib and he falls asleep he has started playing in his crib, with his feet, with his pacifier, just looking out, it is so cute! He is so great. These are a lot ...
