Baby Gear

I've had a few friends who have recently found out they were pregnant! Talking baby gear is one of my favorite conversations, so for a friend who doesn't live close, I rounded up a list of "what I would do if I did it all over again" based on what I know now with 2 kids. I did it pretty fast and she was really focused on strollers, but I thought it would be fun to share! If there is something you love that I missed, leave it in the comments! Car Seat - the Chicco Keyfit 30 is the one all my friends have Stroller - I'm going to list out a few options: 1 - No seat, for car seat only "snap n go" That is the Chicco version OR the Baby Trend version (much cheaper) 2 - something you can use as an infant, that will also grow with you. Typically this means buying the stroller and buying the car seat adapter so you can use them together my friends Mark and Melissa did a genius thing and bought this stroller with the adapter, ...

June in Photos

Before the summer really gets away from us ( 47 days til college football! ) I want to record what we have been up to. At some point I'd like to do a focus on each kid too, but we all know how my blogging skills have been lately #mommybloggerfailure Here is what we did in June!  Enjoying our new house We've been swimming at our community pools  We went to Charlottesville for the weekend! Baby Liam was baptized!   Went to the Zoo Aaron and I got away for a night to a wedding in Richmond!  And lots of playtime at Preschool!  So far it has been a great summer! We've been out of town every weekend in July so far, with one more on the calendar, so a lot to catch up on soon!

Tweetsie Railroad Weekend

**for those that keep up - I changed the web address to wellbeintouchblog.blogspot.com** Last weekend we had the best time meeting up with friends in Blowing Rock, NC to go to Tweetsie Railroad! Tweetsie is a steam train theme park that has an old real working steam train along with lots of other amusement/carnival style rides for kids and adults! We met up with the Hawkins and Simoneauxs and had 6 kids between us! We all have kids within 8 months of each other, so it was really fun to get to hang out with the girls, talk mom stuff and watch our kids become friends! I am sure there will be many more trips like this in the future!  We left Friday morning and did really well, we took a long stop around Lexington, VA and the kids were very happy to be out of the car.   We saw App State's campus in Boone before heading into downtown Blowing Rock to meet up with everyone for dinner.
