Goals

Well, I am 2 weeks "behind schedule", but I am finally feeling motivated to put some goals into place. I'm not ready to make big resolutions, or even year-long goals, since I rarely follow through, but I do have a few things I'd like to work on for the next two weeks. Most of these will probably carry through into February and March and hopefully become habits, but for now, I'm listing them out 1-2 weeks at a time. 1) track food 2) drink 1 gallon (126 oz) of water daily 3) 30 minute limit of social media per night 4) read Wild & Free 5) clean or organize one thing every night that is not part of the normal routine 6) wear flats or boots (no sneakers!) to work I purchased a 2017 planner and new fun pens this past week so I also have each of these listed at the top of the weekly page. There is enough room to write those goals up top and then fill in each day with my plan, my food or what I've accomplished.

Christmas in California 2016

This Christmas we traveled to Aaron's home in California. Both his siblings and their families (in Alaska and Colorado) made the decision a few years ago that we would all get together this Christmas so we could spend it with everyone. It was so fun and I hope we make an effort to get everyone together in a few more years to do it again. We left on Christmas Eve morning and had a surprisingly smooth trip. I wasn't too sure how the boys would do on the plane, it was an 8am flight and we'd been out of the house (awake) since 3:30am, but luckily they both slept for about half of the 5 hours. Things got a little stir crazy at the end, but I think that is to be expected. We rented a car easily and made the 3 hour drive up to his parents house, which again, went surprisingly well. Canon and Hellen participated in the Christmas Eve service at Aaron's parent's church, as a Shepard and Angel. It was a cute kids service that didn't last too long. It was like 10

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth
