Birthday Weekend in North Carolina

Follow my blog with Bloglovin For my birthday this year, Aaron surprised me with a family photo shoot by our favorite photographer, Kevin ! He booked us a time the weekend of my birthday and it was the best! We woke up early on Saturday and made the drive down to Winston, only stopping once for a long lunch at Cracker Barrel (which is a road trip must for us). We got to hang out with Kevin and Brittany for a bit at their super cute house in Winston before heading up to Pilot Mountain for our photos. They spent so much time with us and I can not wait to see how they turn out! Here are a few that he snapped at the end on his iPhone and judging by these, I know I am going to love the rest! We spent Saturday night until Monday morning in Greensboro with Meg and Avery and their family! Meg, Chris and Avery moved back down to Wilmington about a year ago and this is the 2nd time we've

5 on Friday + Favorites

Wow, I am so happy today is Friday! Lots to share today! Here are a few things I am loving lately. 1. My fitbit! More specifically, my workweek hustle challenge group. I am in a group with former and current Camp Carysbrook staff members...and most of them happen to still be in college. Which means while I am sitting behind my desk at work, they are traipsing to and from class on huge campuses! I've been super inspired to get up and get moving, meet my step goal and start running more often just to keep up. One of these days, I will win! 2. Reminiscing over old posts. Timehop gets me everytime! Canon at 2.5 Day in the Life post from when he was 6 months old. It goes by so fast!!! 3. Rodan + Fields Foaming Sunless Tanner! Last weekend it was 60 degrees and I busted out the Sunless Tanner when I got home from church. Having a little bit of color on my legs makes me feel so much better and this is the easiest product to app

Canon - 3 Things

Canon Andrew... 3 1/2 years old today. Here are 3 things about you at this age. (And pictures, that don't necessarily have to do with the things) 1. As of this week, I am 85% sure you have dropped your nap and your pull-up at night. You stopped napping at school last week, and though it has made for a rough transition after school and early morning wake ups, I'm okay with it. You still napped for us last weekend and we will certainly try for the naps at home until you give us a fight, but I won't expect you to sleep at school anymore. Along with that, you've been waking up early to go potty, so we're ditching the pull-ups. These two things feel very big in terms of you completely growing out of the toddler stage! 2. You talk... nonstop. Mostly, I love it. But sometimes when you are asking questions I don't know the answer to, or talking just so you won't fall asleep in the car, I have to ask you to wait. I want y

B+ Goals for March

Linking up again with Elizabeth and Sarah for monthly goal setting! While I have to confess I was feeling a little resistant, now that I have opened the page and started writing, I already feel refreshed and excited to get going for March. First, a review of February. + 10,000 steps 4/week - I only hit my goal 12 times this month + track food - definitely a fail on this one. I try to do it all in MyFitnessPal, but I am thinking of switching over to Weight Watchers. Anyone have any advice? + Naptime Diaries Lenten Devotional - I am definitely behind, but I would say since Lent started I've done this more days than not, so a success + Read Simply Tuesday - not done + make bed daily - ehh...I did it more than not, but I'm still not in a habit + tidy up daily, especially the kitchen - this one was hard, but waking up each morning to a clean kitchen was so refreshing that I'll keep it going + 10,000 steps 5 times a week + track food + less after dinner sna
