Clemson Weekend

Over the past 8 years my college friends have gotten together for various events, but always for a home football game! As I am writing this, I realized I've never actually posted about these weekends, so I'm going to find those pictures and do a separate post on that!

As we started our e-mail chain about this year's game, a very wise Spangler suggested maybe combining football weekend and mountain house weekend into one, since ya know, tailgating all day with children isn't the most fun thing in the world.

So, the 2015 mountain house football weekend was created. It was the best decision. We picked an away game and a house that was centrally located to everyone in NC. We left town after work Thursday night and arrived at 1am. It was a long, dark drive, but totally worth it not to have to be in the car again for 2 whole days!

I thought I would take more pictures, but as it was, I was too buys catching up with friends and chasing toddlers! Here is what I did get though!

early morning window watching

Friday morning grocery run.

Some sweet 3 year olds playing together! They really had so much fun all weekend!

Cale got a motorized car stuck in his mama's hair!

Football watching. That's a lot of children.
Others arrived Friday and Saturday and in total we had: 14 adults, 4 3-year olds, 2 18-month olds and 3 1-year olds! That's 9 kids between 5 families and it is so fun!

Then, of course, we were so wrapped up in the game we forgot the quintessential couch picture when everyone was there, but we got this one!

They've certainly grown since June!!

Oh, these pictures make me laugh so much. I'm so glad we have friends that will all travel to see each other and make this one weekend a priority. What fun memories have already been made and will continue!

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth...

His and Hers

Aaron has officially started his second year of seminary! To commemorate, I thought I'd paste the answers to some questions we were both recently asked. A way to get an idea of both sides of our life right now. My answers: How did you spend your summer?  We had the best summer! Aaron took Hebrew in June and July, and I had my first summer as a stay at home mom. We went to the beach, pool, the library, visited Chicago and came to Alexandria twice!!  What are you most looking forward to (in your 2nd year at Seminary)?  The “cloud” over the 2nd year is getting ready for our vicarage. We’ll meet with the placement director in October and will find out the location in April! So there will be lots of hypothetical conversations, wishlists and prayers leading up to that!  Otherwise, I’m excited that we’ll be just minutes away from our church and school. I hope to get our whole family to matins more weekdays than not and Canon will begin a first communion class this ...

Fort Wayne Fun!

To be honest, when Aaron told me we were likely moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana....I wasn't thrilled at the geographical part of that statement. I didn't know much about the midwest and thought that Fort Wayne was a tiny town with lots of cows, corn and not much else. Thankfully, I was wrong! Fort Wayne is actually awesome. There are TWO Chick-fil-a's, lots of parks and playgrounds, rivers that run through, an awesome Children's zoo and much more. Here just a quick snapshot of some of the fun we've had this summer in Indiana. Camping - friends invited Aaron and the big boys on their first overnight tent camping experience! This state park was just 45 minutes from our house. I came up with the littles, then left way late to sleep in our own beds! The next morning they got to canoe! Hiking - we had a goal of hiking each Saturday morning that was free this summer, and we succeeded twice! Once in town, and once just about an hour away. So fun to be in the ...
