Christmas

Aaron and I went back to the East Coast for 10 days over Christmas this year! It was so fun to spend time with friends and family in Virginia, as well as in South Carolina. Here are some highlights of our trip!

Mom's Mantel, with the addition of Cole's stocking!

Aaron got to put the top on this year. What a lucky guy!

"Cupfast", cupcakes for breakfast, with my favorite Alexandria ladies!

Amanda, Casey & Cole.

What a cute kid. 6 teeth!

 Apparently those teeth are sharp!

He is super close to walking!

Opening his present from the Wilsons!

Waiting on the women to get ready for Christmas Eve.

Christmas morning! He got a trike...

and a music set! drum, maraca and tambourine!

Aaron got Robert a pipe so they could have some "man time"

 Cole looooves his Daddy!

After Christmas we went to South Carolina to visit family. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from that, but we had a fantastic time visiting with everyone. On our way back, Aaron and I got to spend quality time with Katherine & Jay in Waynesboro, VA. It was so great to see her and her new baby bump! I can't wait to meet baby girl Hawkins in April!
Then on New Years Eve day, Aaron and I went up to Baltimore to see Camden Yards. We visited the stadium, the birth place of Babe Ruth museum and had a great lunch at Pickles Pub right across from the stadium.

We had a great time, but after 10 nights and 4 bed rotations, we are happy to be back in our own apartment and our own bed! Aaron is already back to school, but I don't start again until the 23rd! Hopefully that means I can get a head start on some reading. Wish me luck!

Baby Boy #3!

We are expecting baby boy #3 and since I documented a good amount of my pregnancies with the older two, I want to at least start off giving this one the same treatment! I am due May 25th, though he'll probably come around the 18th by c-section. We found out in my 18 week appointment that we were having a boy and I can honestly say I've been super excited since. With two older brothers already ruining, I mean running, the house, I'm happy to bring another boy into our crazy. This pregnancy will always be remembered by having to have my gall bladder removed at week 11. As soon as I hit 6 weeks I started having intense gall bladder pain. I've dealt with gall stones since Canon was born, but they were always singular events that would pass in about 4 hours, and this pain was consistent and all day/night long. The doctors I saw encouraged me to manage it with diet and hope to get to 16 weeks before discussing surgery. I tried everything, which pretty much meant eating noth...

His and Hers

Aaron has officially started his second year of seminary! To commemorate, I thought I'd paste the answers to some questions we were both recently asked. A way to get an idea of both sides of our life right now. My answers: How did you spend your summer?  We had the best summer! Aaron took Hebrew in June and July, and I had my first summer as a stay at home mom. We went to the beach, pool, the library, visited Chicago and came to Alexandria twice!!  What are you most looking forward to (in your 2nd year at Seminary)?  The “cloud” over the 2nd year is getting ready for our vicarage. We’ll meet with the placement director in October and will find out the location in April! So there will be lots of hypothetical conversations, wishlists and prayers leading up to that!  Otherwise, I’m excited that we’ll be just minutes away from our church and school. I hope to get our whole family to matins more weekdays than not and Canon will begin a first communion class this ...

Fort Wayne Fun!

To be honest, when Aaron told me we were likely moving to Fort Wayne, Indiana....I wasn't thrilled at the geographical part of that statement. I didn't know much about the midwest and thought that Fort Wayne was a tiny town with lots of cows, corn and not much else. Thankfully, I was wrong! Fort Wayne is actually awesome. There are TWO Chick-fil-a's, lots of parks and playgrounds, rivers that run through, an awesome Children's zoo and much more. Here just a quick snapshot of some of the fun we've had this summer in Indiana. Camping - friends invited Aaron and the big boys on their first overnight tent camping experience! This state park was just 45 minutes from our house. I came up with the littles, then left way late to sleep in our own beds! The next morning they got to canoe! Hiking - we had a goal of hiking each Saturday morning that was free this summer, and we succeeded twice! Once in town, and once just about an hour away. So fun to be in the ...
